More Than a Game
Maccabi Basketball for Great Britain is back after a 10-year hiatus – and its comeback is bigger than Jordan's return to the Bulls in 1995.
Well, almost.
But we now have more than 100 members ranging from juniors, youth to open mens, with weekly sessions in North London locations, expert coaching, 3x3 competitions and friendlies with local teams.
Our biggest highlight of the year occurs each summer, where we take part in European Maccabi, JCC Games or Maccabiah Games in Israel, embracing a 100-year-old tradition and continuing the legacy of Maccabi Great Britain Basketball.

From U14s to Open Men – We've Got Next
Whether it’s a first bounce or a final shot, every squad represents the spirit of Maccabi.
Under 14s
The journey starts here. These young ballers are learning the fundamentals, building skills, and finding their rhythm – all while having fun and forming friendships that last.
Under 16s
Sharpening their game and stepping into leadership roles, our U16s are growing fast – on the court and off it.
Under 18s
A high-performance squad training hard and competing harder. This is where commitment, confidence and team chemistry come together.
Open Men’s
Experienced players with a love for the game and the Maccabi legacy. Competing at a high level while mentoring the next wave.

Next Stop: JCC Games Pittsburgh, USA
In summer 2025, we’re heading across the Atlantic to represent Great Britain at the JCC Maccabi Games in Pittsburgh, USA.
We’ll be sending two youth squads – Under 15s and Under 17s – to compete against top teams from around the world in a week packed with sport, culture, and Jewish community.
This isn’t just about basketball – it’s about identity, pride, and legacy. For many of our players, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to wear the badge, connect with global Maccabi athletes, and grow on and off the court.
